WELCOME 2011 :D
BOXING DAY !!!
Sunday December 26th of 2010
BOXING DAY!! LET’S SHOP GUYS!!
In Melbourne every 26th of December (and some other days but I forgot the dates) always have a Boxing day. Do you know what it means? It means most of the shops like Myer, David Jones, ect will have discounts of their products, they’ll have SALE. All the shopping centre will be full of people from 5 am till midnight, e.g Chadstone SC, Southland SC, Melbourne Central SC, etc.
On December 26th my family and I went to Chadstone SC after pengajian subuh pagi at Westall mosque. We went there at 8.30 am and all the car parks were full of cars. We didn’t have space to park our car, so we parked it beside someone’s house (I suggested my dad to park our car on the lawn of someone’s house like any other car, but he didn’t want to). So many people were already there at that time. People get crazy on Boxing Day. They’ll spend lots and lots of money to buy things they like. I didn’t spend much money, I only bought some accessories and that’s all. Well and pizzas too hhe. You know what? This is my first boxing day in Melbourne lol xD
BALLARAT : DEAD CITY
Saturday, December 25th of 2010
Today is (as you know) CHRISTMAS DAY!! For Christian people who celebrate it I’m sorry, because I’m not allowed to say “Merry Christ…” to you guys. I don’t celebrate Christmas because I’m a Muslims ;). Instead of it, my family and I (except for my mum) went to Ballarat. We took V-line to go there, and lucky we didn’t have to pay for the ticket because it was FREE (because of Christmas I guess ahihi). We left Melbourne at 12.07 am and arrived around 1.15 am. It was my first time went there since I moved to Melbourne, and I was REALLY shocked because it looks like a DEAD CITY!! Only a few people were on the roads. I don’t know whether it was because of Christmas Day or Ballarat doesn’t have many people live in it. I didn’t see many houses there, and there are lots of old buildings, one of them is University of Ballarat. Once we got there, we walked to Sovereign Hill (we had to walk coz there was no bus coz it’s Christmas day). It was sooooo far way!! We walked for like an hour to get there, but lucky the weather wasn’t very hot that’s why we didn’t die hehe, we were still tired anyway. The Sovereign Hill was closed when we arrived!!! Oh man.. we walked from station to there for an hour, and it was closed!!! Well yeah we had to be patient. After sitting down and taking a rest, we walked back to station by different way. We stopped in the middle of the way to wait for a bus. We waited for 15 minutes but the bus hasn’t turned up yet, so we continue walking. After 10 minutes Alhamdulillah we arrived at the station, but we had to wait for 45 minutes to wait for the train that would bring us back to Melbourne. No problem for me, but I was so HUNGRY!! I bought some chips then hehe.. ohhh what a day! So fun! :D
Pengajian Westall
Every Friday night at Westall mosque, we always have “Pengajian Rutin Bersama”. Ibuk ibuk start recite Qur’an together with Pak Abu and Bu Ade as a teacher (they have their own turn, once every two weeks). After that we pray maghrib together (reciting the Qur’an starts at 8.00 pm because it’s summer so we do this first before praying maghrib). Once we finish praying maghrib, we’ll have ustadz Yahya or any other teachers to give us speech about “Bulughul Maram” . it’ll finish before Isya prayer, and after that we pray isya together. Then everyone can go home straight away. Wait, I forgot to tell you that during the speech about “Bulughul Maram”, we are served by some snacks and some teas that provided by ibuk ibuk that come to this pengajian and Westall mosque it self. So many people come to this pengajian, Alhamdulillah J.
Every Sunday morning at Westall mosque, we always have “Pengajian Subuh Pagi” early in the morning after we pray subuh together. All the ustadz ustadz give us speeches in rotation. For example this week is ustadz Yahya’s turn, next week is ustadz Fadhil’s turn, the following week is ustadz Zulfikar’s turn and so on. They give us speeches about our religion which is Islam. It’s really good for us to get to know more about Islam. It improves our knowledge of our religion. Well, not so many people come to this pengajian. I think it’s because of this starts early in the morning, that’s why they might not be able to wake up early or something like that. Only a few ibuk ibuk come, and lots of bapak bapak, not equal, is it huh? It’s okay. Ibuk ibuk often bring some foods for all of us to eat together after the pengajian finishes. It’s kind of breakfast together. How nice it is J. After that everyone can go home straight away.

Snow falls in parts of NSW - in summer
December 20, 2010
AAP
NSW residents must be wondering what they've done to wind up an increasingly erratic Mother Nature.
Parts of the state recorded their coldest December mornings in several decades on Monday as summer snow fell in the Snowy Mountains, wild winds rattled the coast, and more than 500 people were still cut off by the worst flooding in years.
The State Emergency Service (SES) received 74 calls for help from people in the Illawarra, Sydney and the Blue Mountains as gusts of up to 100kmh brought tree branches crashing down and damaged roofs.
Coonamble in northern NSW recorded 7C - the coldest December morning in 12 years while Trangie, northwest of Dubbo, had 6C - the coldest December morning in 42 years.
To make matters worse, the Bureau of Meteorology is predicting an unseasonably gloomy Christmas, with rain forecast for just about every part of the state between December 24 and Boxing Day.
It comes on top of the worst spring locust plagues for years, which coupled with the flooding, have wiped hundreds of millions off farming incomes.
But not everyone is annoyed at the weird weather.
In Snowy Mountains ski resorts there was joy at the unseasonal coating of snow.
"If this is global warming then I love it. Think I will go for a ski," wrote one Thredbo-based blogger.
Thredbo Village staff described the resort as a "winter wonderland" after most of its ski runs got a dusting of snow.
About 30cm of snow fell at nearby Perisher and 10cm fell at Charlotte Pass.
Acacia Rose, from Thredbo-based K7 Adventures, said there was a "whitish" Christmas in the mountains about two years ago but this December was the coldest in ages.
"Mostly the temperatures have been super cool over the last month - in fact so freezing we had to bail out of a climbing trip," she told AAP.
Michelle Lovius, manager of the Kosciuszko Chalet Hotel at Charlotte Pass, said, "It is absolutely beautiful.
"Everything is covered in a blanket of white.
"This is such a special sight to see in Australia, especially around Christmas."
The resort said snow stopped falling on Monday morning, but the temperature was expected to remain low, with possible further flurries over the next 24 hours.
Sydney also kicked-off the week with unseasonably low temperatures of just 13C.
Those in the city's west felt even chillier, with 9.8C recorded in Horsley Park.
"It was slightly below what is normal for this time of year," Bureau of Meteorology senior forecaster Dmitriy Danchuk told AAP.
On the flooding front, the all-clear was given for Wee Waa, in northern NSW, on Sunday.
Some 1700 residents were cut off there earlier in December.
Around 200 people remain isolated further west at Carinda.
And about 300 people are isolated in mainly rural properties in the rest of the state, the majority in northern regions.
SES spokesman Phil Campbell said many of the stranded 500 people would remain cut off over Christmas.
The SES is carrying out helicopter and fixed-wing food and fuel runs.
It carried out two medical evacuations and two flood rescues over the weekend, bringing the total number of flood rescues since November 29 to 146.

Farewell Party at Lilydale Lake :D
November 28th 2010
FAREWELL PARTY FOR KARINA’S FAMILY was celebrated at Lilydale Lake. There was so much yummy foods and I ate a lot :p. Our tahfidz ‘s group had Tadabbur Alam first and then we swapped our present to each other (But Irhamni hadn’t turned up yet). My present was a musical clock (Nisa’s got it :p) and I’ve got a money box from Kak Sofi J (It’s a good thing, isn’t it? So that I can collect my own money from now on). After that we gave our secret present to Bu Ade which was a beautiful brown purse. We collected our money to buy it. Each one of us wrote a small letter for Bu Ade and she cried while she was reading all the letters. It made me cry too. After that Karina was crying when she tried to say something which aimed to us. It made me cry so hardly L. Nisa hugged me and it made me cry even more (I was so sad because Karina’s leaving that’s why I cried). It’s a bit weird, isn’t it? I supposed to hug Karina and cry on her shoulder but I didn’t hehehhhee :p. Then we all played hide and seek in a playground. It was so FUN :D. After that we took our pictures in front of the most beautiful scene I’ve ever seen. Suddenly Irhamni came and Karina and I were so happy J. Today was really FUN and I liked it :D.
The weirdest trip ever ! :P
November 27th 2010
Karina and Irhamni slept over at my house on the 26th of November 2010. My mom made us spaghetti for our dinner. While Irhamni and I were busy in the kitchen, Karina concentrated watching a movie called “Ketika Cinta Bertasbih” (because only her that hadn’t watched it yet. She wasn’t allowed to watch it by her parents). Me and Irhamni were dancing and laughing in the kitchen loudly but Karina didn’t notice it and she kept stayed in my room watching the movie. (So concentrated, Lol :p). When the dinner was ready, we ate it together and the spaghetti was really delicious! Hoaahhmm after that we felt so sleepy. Irhmani and I slept first because Karina was still busy watching the movie. It was 11 pm already.
The next morning we watched “Monster Inc” while we were eating our breakfast which was fried rice (My mum made it for us). Then we prepared to go to Chadstone Shopping Centre. We took ages man! From 9 am to 11 am just to prepare! (Girls always like that, don’t they? Ckck -.- ) . After that my dad took us to Springvale Station. We had to wait for the train for 18 minutes! It was already 12 pm! (We didn’t have much time because Karina’s mum would pick Karina at 3.30 pm). Then the train came and we entered it but we stopped at Clayton Station because we were not sure about our ticket whether we must have zone 1+2 ticket or only zone 2. We didn’t know what to do and we just stayed there. Then I bravely asked the officer about the ticket, and she said if we want to go to Chadstone we just need to have zone 2 ticket, phew.. Then we went to Oakleigh Station because we had to catch a bus from there to go to Chadstone. We arrived there at 12.40 pm and the bus would come at 12.37. We waited for the bus because we thought that the bus probably would be late as usual. It was raining very hard till we all got wet. Besides, there was a horrible disgusting vomit inside the bus stop! We couldn’t really take cover from the rain because of the vomit. It was extremely smelly that’s why we didn’t want to be really close to the bus stop and that’s why we were all wet! It was 1.10 and we decided to go to Waverly Garden Shopping Centre instead of Chadstone, because the bus wouldn’t come till 2.37. Then we went to Oakleigh Station again to go to Springvale Station and then we had to catch a bus from there to go to Waverly Garden. Finally we arrived there, and you know what?! IT WAS ALREADY 2.20 PM!! We only had about a half an hour to walk around the Shopping Centre and it was OUR FAULT! WE WASTED MORE THAN 2 HOURS CONFUSEDLY DEDICED WHERE TO GO!! Arrgghhhhhh @#$%^&*%$#($#%) .... !!!!!!!!
1 lesson we should have learnt, “Make a plan properly before you do it” :)
Went to Melbourne City
September 2nd 2010
Karina, Irhamni and I went to the city of Melbourne. We came to Karina’s house first to watch Fitna Movie. We went off at 1.30 by a train from Huntingdale Station, Karina’s mom took us there. We arrived at Flinders St Station around 2.00. Then we went to an accessory shop which is called “Diva” to have a look at bracelets, necklaces, pins, etc. Karina bought us 3 same bracelets there (you know what, the price is pretty high for just 3 bracelets). After that we went to Reject Shop, she bought us bracelets again. 6 bracelets each! Can you imagine that? How kind she is :) . Anyway after that we felt hungry, so we went to “Es Teler 77” which located at Swanston St. Me and Karina ordered Kwetiaw Goreng Seafood ( I don’t really know how to spell Kwetiaw, Lol :p) we ate it together with chopstick, and Irhamni ordered Nasi Ayam. As we finished our lunch, we went to RMIT to pray ashar (it was around 5 and we hadn’t prayed ashar yet, astaghfirulloh.. hhe). Then we were ready to go home. We had to run to catch a train that went to Dandenong Station. The door of the train was almost closed, we were lucky :). What an awesome day ! we planned to go to city again one day :).

Tahfidz's Group
Firstly I need to ask you something guys. Do you know what does tahfidz mean? It means we memorize Al-Qur’an. It’s sort of we memorize all the surah in it. Bu Ade (the teacher) has a group of tahfidz. She has 8 students, they are Kak Sofi, Ifah, Nisa, Azka, Mutia, Adin, Karina and I. We’ve been doing this for approximately 8 months. We memorize different surah and different juz. Kak Sofi, Nisa and I memorize the same juz and surah but they started first. Azka and Ifah memorize the same surah and juz, but then Ifah changed it. Karina, Mutia and Adin memorize the same surah and juz. We are trying to do “Fastabikhul Khoirot” which means “Race to be better”.
We do this program every Friday afternoon, after school around 4 pm at Bu Ade’s house. I always go there with either Kak Sofi’s family or Nisa’s family. I love this program because it helps me memorize my surah better. Besides, I don’t want to lose my surah (because I started memorize Al-Qur’an since when I was in grade 1 or when I was 6 years old). I really want to be a Hafidzah, Insha Alloh. (Hafidzah means when you already finished memorize all the surah in Al-Quran) just like our teacher, Bu Ade J. By the way, recently Irhamni has joined our tahfidz’s group :D
We love Bu Ade Infitah ♥
